There she was astounded by the fabrics and approach to fashion she saw there, but had never seen any other place. She decided all women should have the opportunity to wear distinctive clothing made from hand-dyed and hand-woven fabrics. All of our clothes are hand-woven or hand-dyed. All are one- of- a -kind or created in limited editions. Nothing is mass-produced. Some fabrics were woven expressly for Bayo Imports. Others are woven or dyed in traditional patterns and designs.Some of our ladies clothing is tiedyed cotton, tiedyed satin, and batiks. Embroidery is done directly on the garments and is not attached. Much of our clothing is produced by the Yoruba and Ibo peoples. For centuries, Yorubas have been known for artistic excellence. Works produced by their artists and crafts people can be seen in the world's most prestigious museums. Our clothes are divided into three major categories. • International: African designers and tailors bring their own perspective to European and American styles.This category includes dresses, pantsuits, suits, casual wear, and evening wear. • Traditional: Traditional African clothing worn by Yoruba women.
